What a game!
I have to admit that I did not watch the first half completely but I did watch from the half time on. Not sure what to think of the show during half time “The Who”. The light show was excellent but the music was pretty good. I can tell you one thing though - there was well over 10,000 (give or take a thousand) CSI fans in the house when the song “Who are you” came on. The crowd erupted with sing-a-longs for the entire song. I have so many favorite moments in the second half that I don’t know which one to post tomorrow. Come back tomorrow and see what I picked. Once again - Congrats go out to the New Orleans Saints!

With this being a moment for these two teams (Colts & Saints) to come and fight it out for the grand title he had to find it necessary to listen to his woman and let what she said get to him. Yeah I know that’s a whole lot of assumption but come on folks - the man has a short fuse as is the last thing he probably needed was his woman saying something out of place to get him going. Now I’m not saying that what he did was ok or even called for - what I am saying that he needs to control his emotions and try to walk away from certain situations. MIAMI (UPI) – Former NFL All-Pro Warren Sapp was arrested by Miami Beach police after his girlfriend accused him of choking her, a police report said.

The alleged attack at the couple’s Shore Club hotel room in Miami Beach early Saturday occurred after they had been partying at the venue.

The unidentified woman also told police she was sleeping when Sapp pulled her out of bed and demanded she leave the room.

Sapp, a former star with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders, was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery after both parties were questioned by police.

Sapp was released from the Miami-Dade County jail Saturday evening.

He was in Miami to provide TV commentary Sunday for the NFL Network at Super Bowl XLIV between Indianapolis and New Orleans, but The Miami Herald said he has been taken off the air until the network reviews the incident.

BOSTON (UPI)New York Mets left-handed reliever Billy Wagner joined the Boston Red Sox Tuesday.

The Mets, who had put him on waivers four days earlier, will get two players to be announced later from the Red Sox, Major League Baseball said on its Web site.

Wagner waived his no-trade clause in return for the Red Sox agreeing not to exercise his 2010 option while keeping the right to offer him salary arbitration. That allows Wagner to become a free agent after the season and puts Boston in line to be compensated by any team that signs him.

The Red Sox reportedly are on the hook for the prorated portion of his $10.5 million 2009 salary for the rest of the season.

Wagner, 38, has 385 career saves, putting him within striking distance of John Franco, who holds the record for left-handers at 424.

He had reconstructive elbow surgery less than a year ago.

I’m not sure what the complete deal will be here but I would love to know which players are jumping over to the Mets. I haven’t really had a chance to watch Wagner play before but I do intend to see if Boston puts him in. He might be a good asset to the club especially since he’s a skip and turn away from over coming John Franco’s 424 saves. Just like any other new comer - Welcome to the Club!

This month is definitely the month - especially if you are into paintballing like I am. I haven’t paintballed in about a year or so and I’m looking into getting back into shape and signing up to the local club and begin my retraining in having some good ole fashion fun. Now in order to do this I would have to supply myself with the right gear that both protects me as well as gives me that sweet look of coolness. BDU pants would be a great start especially if you get yourself some black ones like the ones I want. The one feature that I believe is the one that stands out the most is the reinforced seat and knee patches. These two sections of the body are the ones to go first especially if you are a true baller. So if anyone is thinking about getting me something worthy and long lasting these would be it.

Yesterday I visited my daughter’s school to donate some blood to the American Red Cross which as most of you already know it’s a worthy cause especially if it helps out a few people from what ever situation comes up. My appointment was for 7 but I was able to get in right after work which was around 5. The crew running the drive were excellent, they had a team to handle at least 50 people but it turned out to be more then that because when I got in my number was 38 and there was a nice line forming behind me which I would like to also say Thank You to those who donated yesterday.

The images that are attached to this post will show the setup they had and you’ll see my lucky number. I was planning on taking some pictures of the blood flowing but I don’t know how many of you reading this and viewing the pictures might react to blood so I decided to not take any. I would like to also send a shout out to my daughter Erin for hooking me up with my new phone which has a camera. I can honestly say that when I got done I felt really good. I felt a bit down and slow moving on Friday but I tell you what I felt like a million bucks when I walked out of there. There’s always a good reason to donate blood but feeling great afterwards is just one of the many reasons why its good to do it. I plan on donating more this year especially if the outcome is feeling like I’m 25 again.

I would like to start out by saying ‘Thank You’ to Fred and his crew at WSPD for taking the time to go to the ESM (Erie Street Market) and displaying exactly what goes on over there on a typical “business” morning. It didn’t look very crowded at all, heck I didn’t really see much for traffic inside either. Watch the video provided by WSPD and see for yourself the wonders and glories of the market.

Combat ArmsWell, yesterday I received an e-mail informing me that the online game that I’m playing (Combat Arms) will be going through an update and some patch work as well. I received another e-mail informing me that the update will not take place until late at night so any of the new toys and map won’t be available until the next day. This morning I woke up helped my daughter’s boyfriend get his car unstuck from a small snow bank (yes I got up and put some shoes and coat and went directly outside to help). I then went about my morning norm, I went down to my basement and powered up the pc to see what exactly were the new toys and to see what this new map looked like. Well to my surprise it turned out that the creators of the game have fixed a bunch of issues as well as demote any cheaters that were abusing some known problems in the game. Here is where the sad day for me comes in - when I played the new map I noticed that I did not have my high power gun or any of my other neat toys in my inventory. Well it turned out that my account has been “adjusted” due to some silly behavior that I and some other team mates participated in. We found a way to get extra money and experience points in the game that wouldn’t be considered honest. So, I got demoted (which I deserve) and now I’m back at “trainee” status and coming from Command Sargeant Major 3rd class to trainee is quite a drop. I will continue to play the game nonetheless but this time I will not be suckered into trying any short cuts.

January 21st 2009 - Day one has started for many of you in the same manner that it has for quite some time now but for President Obama his next four years will be different each and every morning. Reading a pretty lengthy article on CNN this morning it looks like Obama’s day is just about full and it was only 9:00am. I have not denied to mention in the past that I am a Conservative and then a Republican. I heard the numerous debates, questions and answers from the many candidates that ran for the highest office in the land where my outcome was a strong support for Mike Huckabee.

He had a strong standing but many Americans did not want to let go of McCain and his heroic past and the maverick persona. Huckabee did not make it too far but he did put up a good long fight and for that I was proud to support him then and I continue to do so still today.

With the Obama administration in the White House now, I will be looking to them all and see if what the campaign was promoting will actually hold water. Everyone is looking to focus on President Obama’s first 100 days, I plan on focusing on his entire term. Waiting to see what changes are coming - good or bad.

Even with my disagreements with Mr. Obama and his staff I still respect the man for he is the 44th president of the United States of America and I am proud of this country including its successes and failures.

While reading my updates for the day I say that one of the tips of the day was how to present a photo from today to look like it was an original from decades ago. Visit the following link to see what their process was to accomplish such a neat look.

When I take pictures I sometimes find myself wanting to make them look a bit older then what they appear. I have to be honest and say that although I tried many times to get that old look - it doesn’t really come out all that great. I will be adding a gallery with some of my favorite pictures that I have taken in 08. Check out the learning tip, it’s a great piece of information.

Last nights game was one to watch and enjoy, well as a fan of the Bulls of course. With Ben G. Drew G. combining a total of 42 points you know it had to be a good game. Had they not lost last night they would walked into Portland with three wins and a better feel for that game. This link will take you to a video click provided by ESPN which shows some excellent moments during the game. The quoted piece below is from the UPI (United Press International) site - a site I visit almost on a daily basis to get an update of what happens in the world of sports when I’m unable to watch.

CHICAGO (UPI) — Nick Collison scored 21 points Saturday night — five of them in overtime — to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 109-98 victory over Chicago.

Collision scored the final point in regulation when he sank a free throw with more than a minute left to play and then put the Thunder ahead for good with a three-point play to break a 96-96 tie during the extra period, when Oklahoma City outscored Chicago 15-4. With the game looking to go both ways you would of thought the Cavaliers would pull this off with a win. Well, not only did they not get the win and lose their head cheese but their number 1 guy was called for traveling on a move that he does pretty much all the time.

James did his usual quick step and made his shot that would won it for them but the official called it a travel. With what has occured I hope that other officials go back and watch the many games that this has happened and if they find the same technique then the official responsible for allowing that to happen should either take a penalty and lose a days pay or donate cash to a charity.

The following is an article ny the UPI team, they do not mention the “travel” incident but it’s still a good read…

WASHINGTON (UPI) — Antawn Jamison scored six of his 26 points in the fourth period Sunday, helping the Washington Wizards hold on and beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 80-77.

The veteran forward’s critical 18-foot jump shot gave Washington a 79-77 advantage with 10 seconds left after a 71-58 lead with 6:33 remaining.

Cleveland trailed 68-54 when the period began, but outscored Washington 23-12 in the final 12 minutes.

Caron Butler scored 19 with seven rebounds. Dominic McGuire scored 10 with 10 rebounds, while five others scored for the Wizards, who have split their last four contests.

Despite the win, the Wizards are just 7-25 to date.

LeBron James led Cleveland with 30 points, 10 assists and six rebounds.

Mo Williams scored 13 with four rebounds, while Anderson Varejoa added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who shot just 39.4 percent from the field and lost Coach Mike Brown to a third period ejection for arguing with game officials.

dtape.gifWhen I read this story it reminded me of my trip to Puerto Rico not too long ago where a woman got on the plane and then after the plane seperated from the annex tunnel she wanted to get off. Long story short she finally got off the plane and the rest of us still on clapped and said goodbye to the woman who had issues. Knowing that duct tape is now a part of the crew’s arsenal of devices to use to calm a passenger down and keeping them in place when being too unruly is just awesome. Please read the article and see that what I’m saying is not really crazy or made up. good job crew on making sure our skies are safe from unstable individuals like that woman going back to NY.

arca.JPGThis past weekend I had the honor and priviledge to attend the race at the Toledo Speedway. I was assisting Chet Productions with audio and video during the race as well as set up and take down of the equipment the provided. I saw a few “accidents” take place that pretty much everyone knew at least one of them was intentional.

Each year I participate in the setup which might be once to twice a year. The crew in which accompanies the company are just awesome. We are like a tight family when it comes to working and hanging out wiht each other. I can’t wait until the next production which should be sometime between April and May. Until then I’ll try to keep in touch with the crew as well as the races.

Oh and if there’s anyone out there that works for the Arca/Remax Series that is reading this and would like to find a new owner for the pacecar.jpgDodge Charger Pace Car I would like to inform you that the search is over - just select me and I’ll be more then happy to drive the car as is.
