What a game!
I have to admit that I did not watch the first half completely but I did watch from the half time on. Not sure what to think of the show during half time “The Who”. The light show was excellent but the music was pretty good. I can tell you one thing though - there was well over 10,000 (give or take a thousand) CSI fans in the house when the song “Who are you” came on. The crowd erupted with sing-a-longs for the entire song. I have so many favorite moments in the second half that I don’t know which one to post tomorrow. Come back tomorrow and see what I picked. Once again - Congrats go out to the New Orleans Saints!
I was not able to catch this game due to some chores that had to get done that day but I did manage to get the news on Sunday that my boys pulled it off yet again. Keeping control of the game was key and the key holder of such an accomplishment would have to go to Glen Coffee, with his total yardage of 129 on 16 carries the 49ers were able to maintain that advantage. Now let’s not forget about Kory Sheets, with him putting in the final touches on an 18 point fourth quarter stomping by graciously running in the 5 yard touchdown to secure their win over The Raiders, Good Job fellas - can’t wait until the next one.
Woke up this morning feeling really good about the day. My started with my lovely wife wishing me a Happy Father’s Day as soon as I got out of bed which was pretty awesome. One by one my kids called me up wishing me the same and telling me to have a great day. I felt even better after that so I went downstairs to find my phone so that I call my brother, dad and step-dad and bless them with the same wishes I got from my kids. Well after the phone calls were delivered I did some quick clean up around the house and then proceeded to join in on the fun with my two daughters and my wife in the recently filled pool. Wow are my legs tired - Aubrey and I began to go in circles (not hard at all, seeing that the pool is round) to make the water go in one direction. We had it going so fast that Aubrey stopped for a moment but had trouble doing so because we created such a strong water flow that she was unable to just sit near the edge. She had to hold onto the side of pool just to maintain her position. We had a good time today - now I’m here writing this post and looking forward to some shooting on Combat Arms. See you guys later.
This month is definitely the month - especially if you are into paintballing like I am. I haven’t paintballed in about a year or so and I’m looking into getting back into shape and signing up to the local club and begin my retraining in having some good ole fashion fun. Now in order to do this I would have to supply myself with the right gear that both protects me as well as gives me that sweet look of coolness. BDU pants would be a great start especially if you get yourself some black ones like the ones I want. The one feature that I believe is the one that stands out the most is the reinforced seat and knee patches. These two sections of the body are the ones to go first especially if you are a true baller. So if anyone is thinking about getting me something worthy and long lasting these would be it.
With the game looking to go both ways you would of thought the Cavaliers would pull this off with a win. Well, not only did they not get the win and lose their head cheese but their number 1 guy was called for traveling on a move that he does pretty much all the time.
James did his usual quick step and made his shot that would won it for them but the official called it a travel. With what has occured I hope that other officials go back and watch the many games that this has happened and if they find the same technique then the official responsible for allowing that to happen should either take a penalty and lose a days pay or donate cash to a charity.
The following is an article ny the UPI team, they do not mention the “travel” incident but it’s still a good read…
WASHINGTON (UPI) — Antawn Jamison scored six of his 26 points in the fourth period Sunday, helping the Washington Wizards hold on and beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 80-77.
The veteran forward’s critical 18-foot jump shot gave Washington a 79-77 advantage with 10 seconds left after a 71-58 lead with 6:33 remaining.
Cleveland trailed 68-54 when the period began, but outscored Washington 23-12 in the final 12 minutes.
Caron Butler scored 19 with seven rebounds. Dominic McGuire scored 10 with 10 rebounds, while five others scored for the Wizards, who have split their last four contests.
Despite the win, the Wizards are just 7-25 to date.
LeBron James led Cleveland with 30 points, 10 assists and six rebounds.
Mo Williams scored 13 with four rebounds, while Anderson Varejoa added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who shot just 39.4 percent from the field and lost Coach Mike Brown to a third period ejection for arguing with game officials.
The following video was sent to me from a good friend that enjoys displays like this. I would love to know how long it took to put them al up and then having them sequenced accoring to the song. With what I saw it looks like it might be a few thousand lights and a nice high light bill to go with it. Something like this really shows me that people still have a lot of love in their hearts for just about anything.
Enjoy
All I can say is WOW. The video does not mention who the driver is but it does look pretty awesome. When I first watched it I did not expect it to actually go in the water and pretty much act like a speed boat. It does have a bit of loud sound to it but who cares this thing can go on land and water with out going through any transformation. This would be great for those boaters who do enjoy boating but hate to drag their boats to the ramp and proceed with the annoying procedure in order to ahve a good time. To all lazy boaters - this is something that can help you get on the water faster with little problems.
This past weekend I had the honor and priviledge to attend the race at the Toledo Speedway. I was assisting Chet Productions with audio and video during the race as well as set up and take down of the equipment the provided. I saw a few “accidents” take place that pretty much everyone knew at least one of them was intentional.
Each year I participate in the setup which might be once to twice a year. The crew in which accompanies the company are just awesome. We are like a tight family when it comes to working and hanging out wiht each other. I can’t wait until the next production which should be sometime between April and May. Until then I’ll try to keep in touch with the crew as well as the races.
Oh and if there’s anyone out there that works for the Arca/Remax Series that is reading this and would like to find a new owner for the Dodge Charger Pace Car I would like to inform you that the search is over - just select me and I’ll be more then happy to drive the car as is.
Even though I’m currently in PR (Puerto Rico) I will be looking into the game between the Niners and the Saints at 1 today. I read the following on ESPN.com/NFL about today’s game and I don’t think this guy is aware of the team that the niners are bringing.
Scouts Inc.: The Saints are reeling after two tough road losses, and they continue to have problems on defense. The offense has been productive, but QB Drew Brees must now find a way to be effective without TE Jeremy Shockey for the next several weeks. The Saints’ running game has stalled, while they depend on Brees’ arm to keep them in games. Meanwhile, the 49ers, who have won their last two games, will enter this contest with a fair amount of confidence.
Don’t get me wrong - I know that these fellas make a living predicting such moments but I really don’t think the Saints can mount anything that will cause the Niners to lose today. I will post some added details after the game.
I was unable to watch the boys in red and gold play today but I definitely had a chance to watch the highlights of the game. Right from the beginning it looked like the Seahawks were going to dominate the game but the Niners made sure that such a thing will not play out the way Seattle would of wanted it to. The look on Mike Nolan’s face was one that meant business and not of defeat. The Niners went on to win the game in overtime with a gorgeous field goal by #6 Joe Nedney. Congrats to you all for getting that win in Seahawk territory. Watch the highlights below and see what you missed.
This past weekend I had the pleasure of going to a Michigan game with a good friend of mine. Michigan was scheduled to meet Miami (Ohio) at high noon on Saturday. Well before I get going on the day’s event I want to first say thank you to Joe for bringing me along to experience a good game in The Big House.
I can honestly tell you that being with that many Michigan fans you can’t help but cheer along with them. It was so crazy that while walking up to the stadium a bunch of grown men began singing the fight song very loudly which of course I joined in but not at the same range as they were. Well I heard that the Big House was going to be under construction but I didn’t think they were going to be that deep in construction.
It looks like they’re adding more suites to the stadium, which of couirse will bring in more money for the university. The game started out to be quite exciting especially after Michigan went on a 10 to 0 lead by the second quarter. Now the second and third quarter belong to Miami because it wasn’t until the fourth quarter that Michigan scored another touchdown.
I hope to experience more games in the future but with the cost of the tickets being in the $50 dollar and up range I don’t think I’ll being going up any time soon on my own dime. Yes people that’s right I’m saying that I’m seriously broke especially if you read the post on me losing my car to a black bear. Once again I would like to thank Joe for a good time and a great experience.
While searching for hobby ideas this morning I came across the video you see below. Now I don’t know how many of you knew about this but when I saw it it completely threw me off because here I thought that shooting rubber bands at someone one by one with your hands was bad enough but it looks like the craft world has gone a bit further then expected. Watch the video and let me know what you think. I just might get one of these just to keep my cats from climbing on the dinning room table each time we’re done with dinner. The wife might not approve but as long as the cats don’t rat me out I think it’s a great idea.
I apologize for not posting more frequently but I have been introduced to a game that is truely gathering almost all of my attention from blogging. The game that is to be blamed is called Combat Arms. A co-worker of mine mentioned playing it and I just had to try it out for myself and as god as my witness I am 100% addicted to it. I’m not sure how many of you reading this are gamers of such games that involve strategy and skill but even if you are or aren’t you must try it out and I can pretty much guarantee that you won’t be disappointed. Click on the link above and view the graphics of the game - truely amazing.
I got this in from a friend of mine today - I found it to be funny hopefully you will too.
History 101 (A Must Read)…This is meant to be humorous and poke fun at ourselves. Enjoy!
For those of you who slept through World History 101 here is a condensed version. Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coas t and live on fish and lobster in the winter.
The two most important events in all of history were:
1. The invention of beer, and
2. The invention of the wheel.
The wheel was invented to get man to the beer, and the beer to the man.
These facts formed the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:
1. Liberals
2. Conservatives.
Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture.
Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That’s how villages were formed. Read the rest of this entry »
Watching the video at first look appears to be quite brutal but as the coverage goes on you’ll notice that they are basically fighting with very stylish weapons that are no different then pillows. My friend Bill is involved in battles like this but his battles are with actual weapons with of course careful attention to safety. This sport might be something I would try out gicen that there are some times where I find myself wanting to hit something or someone and the only thing I have is my punching bag at home that doesn’t really fight back. I think I’ll do some research and see if something like this is local or maybe in the state.
