Well I have put my foot in my mouth and have mentioned that me being overweight is a choice that I made and that if I wanted to be slimmer all I had to do was say so. Well it’s day two and I’m feeling a bit tired but I feel great physically. I ma bout to do my push ups and walk my first mile of the day. I will keep posting as to me status on a day to day basis.

Combat ArmsWell, yesterday I received an e-mail informing me that the online game that I’m playing (Combat Arms) will be going through an update and some patch work as well. I received another e-mail informing me that the update will not take place until late at night so any of the new toys and map won’t be available until the next day. This morning I woke up helped my daughter’s boyfriend get his car unstuck from a small snow bank (yes I got up and put some shoes and coat and went directly outside to help). I then went about my morning norm, I went down to my basement and powered up the pc to see what exactly were the new toys and to see what this new map looked like. Well to my surprise it turned out that the creators of the game have fixed a bunch of issues as well as demote any cheaters that were abusing some known problems in the game. Here is where the sad day for me comes in - when I played the new map I noticed that I did not have my high power gun or any of my other neat toys in my inventory. Well it turned out that my account has been “adjusted” due to some silly behavior that I and some other team mates participated in. We found a way to get extra money and experience points in the game that wouldn’t be considered honest. So, I got demoted (which I deserve) and now I’m back at “trainee” status and coming from Command Sargeant Major 3rd class to trainee is quite a drop. I will continue to play the game nonetheless but this time I will not be suckered into trying any short cuts.

dtape.gifWhen I read this story it reminded me of my trip to Puerto Rico not too long ago where a woman got on the plane and then after the plane seperated from the annex tunnel she wanted to get off. Long story short she finally got off the plane and the rest of us still on clapped and said goodbye to the woman who had issues. Knowing that duct tape is now a part of the crew’s arsenal of devices to use to calm a passenger down and keeping them in place when being too unruly is just awesome. Please read the article and see that what I’m saying is not really crazy or made up. good job crew on making sure our skies are safe from unstable individuals like that woman going back to NY.

matsuzaka.jpgWith the Red Sox taking game one last night it definitely feels like history repeating itself but I don’t count the Rays out yet. Matsuzaka had a great game going especially with his no-hitter until the seventh inning. Now that in and of itself is experience to hold up high, let’s see if the Rays can do a better job on the next one. I hope to see some more from the other guys in the crew that way the Rays can get it burned into their mind that Boston is here to take the championship and that they should just simply step aside.

This post has been written with a heavy heart filled with sadness. I received this little tid bit from a friend of mine last week but I was unable to post it due to time restraints, well that and the fact that if I’m going to be disappointed I think I should include you fine folks as well. After all these years I was hoping for better things to come my way especially when the time was right - for example:

- finding a four leaf clover
- reaching the end of a rainbow
- having a rabbit’s foot
or even wishing upon a shooting star

These are moments/scenarios that people look to in order to make a wish or hope for a new beginning. Well let me stop chatting for a bit and let you watch the video below so that you too can feel the way I do - enjoy.

Please feel free to leave me a comment regarding this “enlightened” discovery.

In just under a week we have had three fatal shootings here in Toledo, OH. The mayor here has offered five grand on each of the cases to help detectives solve these murders quickly. Now I don’t know where the money will be coming to fund these rewards and I don’t care either, what I do care about if finding the dirt bags and making sure that they get what’s coming to them. I’m getting sick and tired of the losers in this city that find it necessary to break the law as well as families. Let’s find these guys and put the pressure on them to reveal any other evil spawns that hang out with them.

algae-energy.JPGThe past two months I’ve noticed that many independent workers are looking into finding alternative energy sources. This way of making “oil” per say is quite unique and looks to be very efficient for the drivers who need it the most. Watch the video below and see how the process is performed from start to finish. Here in Ohio we can easily start this without any problems, heck I have some algae in my pool now. All I have to do is process it so that I can sell it.

collision.jpgLast week my friend was in an accident just north from where I live. She and her husband were heading home after work when a woman decided to run a caution yellow arrow that became red before she was half way through the intersection. My friend hit the vehicle that was turning because the woman failed to yield when she was supposed to. Well to make a long story short my friend had to search for an autobody paint and repair shop so that she can get an estimate on the total damages. Now I did mention to her that there are sites out there that will help her with any questions she might have. I will mention CollisionRepairExperts.com to her today so that she can see if their expertise can help her out. Now if we can only suggest the woman who failed to obey the rules of the road this site she can then turn around and offer it to whom ever she cuts off next. Yes I know that’s a far stretch attempt but it is a good attempt nonetheless, right? Get the details and information today so that you’re better prepared in the future.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The Gainesville (Fla.) Sun reported Wednesday that Chicago Bulls forward Joakim Noah has received six months probation for a drug charge last weekend.

The former Florida Gators standout was arrested by Gainesville police early Sunday morning in the downtown area on a marijuana possession charge and for drinking alcohol in an open container.

The newspaper said that the State Attorney’s Office has confirmed that he will pay a $200 fine.

As a first-time offender, Noah was eligible for the deferred prosecution agreement and $150 will go toward a charitable contribution that provides restitution for juvenile offenders.

In separate incidents, he must pay $206 in traffic fines for two traffic citations he received Sunday night on the campus for driving with a suspended license without knowledge and not wearing a seat belt.

The 7-foot Noah helped Florida win back-to-back NCAA titles in 2006 and 2007 before he was first-round pick by the Bulls in the 2007 NBA draft.

Well, he had to pop his cherry sooner or later (drug charges that is). Well let’s hope this isn’t an early sign for a bad habit, the man has talent beyond belief. To lose such a player due to poor decision choices would be devastating to him, his family and the team. Hold your head guy and keep the road clean from this point on.

BOSTON (UPI) — Left-hander Jon Lester pitched the 18th no-hitter in Red Sox history Monday when Boston defeated the Kansas City Royals, 7-0.

Lester (3-2), who was diagnosed with a form of cancer two years ago, struck out nine and issued only two walks — the first in the second inning to Billy Butler and the other in the ninth to Esteban German.

After Lester, 24, walked German to start the ninth, Tony Pena ground out to third base, David DeJesus grounded out to first, and Alberto Callaspo struck out swinging at a high fastball.

Lester threw 130 pitches, 86 for strikes.

The Red Sox have had the last two no-hitters in the majors. Clay Buchholz had the other Sept. 1, 2007, against Baltimore.

Lester is the first Red Sox left-hander to pitch a no-hitter since Mel Parnell did it against the Chicago White Sox July 14, 1956.

Lester’s 2006 rookie season was cut short due to non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, but he returned in July 2007 and went 4-0 with a 4.57 earned run average in 12 games, 11 of which were starts. He was the winning pitcher in Game 4 of the World Series against Colorado.

This was Lester’s first career complete game.

It is just the second time the Royals have been no-hit. The LA Angels’ Nolan Ryan did it May 15, 1973.

I was unable to watch the game last night or catch it on Sports Center this morning but regardless to me missing it I did hear it from the morning radio show as well as from my friend.

My hats off to Lester for producing such a great game. I am looking forward to seeing some more excitement on future games. Congrats Jon Lester and the Boston Red Sox.

During my lunch today I was reading and watching a story about a woman who had called 911 to get someone out to her place so that they can keep an ex-boyfriend from beating her or possibly killing her. Well after a three hour conversation going back and forth the operator decides to mention that he didn’t give a sh*t what happened to her. Grant it he said after she had hung up but the recorder was still going. When the woman found out that he had said that she broke into tears because not only did she not have any immediate help to protect her from any future assaults but now she’s hesitant on calling 911 knowing that the care factor is at a low level. Now I know that this was just one operator but until this broke out it was known that there weren’t any heartless opertors working there.

Then I bump into another 911 operator news done by Nancy Grace, the operator in this one falls asleep while taking a call from a concerned caller fearing for her well being. Now how tired are you that you can’t even keep awake during a 911 CALL. They have suspended the individual as well as the supervisor but they have not determined if it was with or without pay.

First 911 blunder VIDEO.
Second 911 blunder VIDEO.

It’s been about a week or so since I posted about my mom and dad visiting and their amazement of how the gas prices can go up so quickly. Well last week I received the video clip below from a friend of mine - when I got done watching this I was completely shocked that something like this hasn’t hit the assembly lines yet. Now I don’t know when the interview aired on that channel but knowing what the potential could be for something like that is just amazing. Watch the video and let me know what you think.

The following is from an article in the CNN/living section online.

Tzatzil Willebeek-LeMair is a superwoman.
She has completed more than 50 triathlons and runs a business that teaches hundreds of women a year how to break into running, biking, and swimming but when it came to her own homes organization she found herself stuck on the starting blocks.

I can relate to her in so many ways - maybe not the coach part but definitely in the messy department. I seem to find myself preoccupied doing things around the house that when it comes to finishing the list presented by my wonderful wife to do first I just never seem to have the time for it.

Don’t get me wrong - I do get around to it eventually but the list does get completed nonetheless. Check out the article and maybe you can think back to your high school gym teacher and remember whether his/her office was clean and organized or messy and hazardous.

Whatever your politics, however you lean, however you feel about the current administration, this report should open some eyes.

Military losses, 1980 through 2006
http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/natsec/RL32492.pdf
As tragic as the loss of any member of the US Armed Forces is, consider the following statistics: The annual fatalities of military members while actively serving in the armed forces from 1980 through 2006:
I was surprised again. . .until it became clear to me that the point here is that our mainstream media continues to spin these figures (for political gain). Nothing more.

It’s all about politics and some politicians, who are now famous for turning American against American for a vote. (Consider Slick Willy and his comments just recently made about South Carolina, Jesse Jackson, and the ‘blacks’ voting for the ‘black’ candidates); or Hillary’s stump speech after her Super Tuesday ‘victory’ stating that the current administration does not ‘listen’ to anyone and continues the war costing precious American lives. Yes, I might even agree with her, but she should be made to acknowledge her own husband’s administration, without having an actual war, sent more soldiers to death during his regime—while also forcing the military to release Osama when we actually had him detained.

I hope that during the time between now and November, that intelligent Americans can decipher the facts from the spin and the spinners from the leaders; those who seek even more power from those that seek justice, the dividers from the uniters..

Over the next months let’s be good listeners (yes, Hillary we are listening) and see and hear who tries to divide our nation; and who wants to unite our nation.. Who wants to control how our money is spent and who wants our money spent the way we would spend it. Who seeks power and who seeks justice? Who spins the facts and who is genuine.

(These statistics are published by Congressional Research Service, and they may be confirmed by anyone at: http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/natsec/RL32492.pdf )
