With this being a moment for these two teams (Colts & Saints) to come and fight it out for the grand title he had to find it necessary to listen to his woman and let what she said get to him. Yeah I know that’s a whole lot of assumption but come on folks - the man has a short fuse as is the last thing he probably needed was his woman saying something out of place to get him going. Now I’m not saying that what he did was ok or even called for - what I am saying that he needs to control his emotions and try to walk away from certain situations. MIAMI (UPI) – Former NFL All-Pro Warren Sapp was arrested by Miami Beach police after his girlfriend accused him of choking her, a police report said.

The alleged attack at the couple’s Shore Club hotel room in Miami Beach early Saturday occurred after they had been partying at the venue.

The unidentified woman also told police she was sleeping when Sapp pulled her out of bed and demanded she leave the room.

Sapp, a former star with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders, was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery after both parties were questioned by police.

Sapp was released from the Miami-Dade County jail Saturday evening.

He was in Miami to provide TV commentary Sunday for the NFL Network at Super Bowl XLIV between Indianapolis and New Orleans, but The Miami Herald said he has been taken off the air until the network reviews the incident.

NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

(1) Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

(2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

(3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

(4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don’t Do It!

(5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

(6) That’s Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man… That’s okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

(7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you’re welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says ‘Thanks a lot’ - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say ‘you’re welcome’. (That will bring on a ‘whatever’).

(8) Whatever: Is a woman’s way of saying F — YOU!

(9) Don’t worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking ‘What’s wrong?’ For the woman’s response refer to # 3.

black-bear.jpgWell boys and girls I’m here to tell you that I have removed on black bear from this world’s inventory. I gladly welcome all the bear jokes you might have in mind. While on my way home yesterday from visiting my uncle in Connecticut I had the unusual pleasure of discovering that black bears not only live in Pennsylvania but they wander the highway as well. While cruising along I-80 West towards my lovely home a black bear managed to dodge vehicles from the east bound side, cross the median and then try to cross the west bound side all in one try - well I saw that and was completely upset and was not going to allow that to happen on my watch.

So I proceeded to change lanes and direct my Tough Chevy Cobalt right at the bear and stop him from achieving such a task. Okay maybe it didn’t really go that way, what happened was a young black bear tried to cross the west bound side where I was traveling on and the two us met very unscheduled like. The bear was hit at a high speed of 65 mph where it then rolled back into the grassy median.

I got out of the car to make sure that no one else was involved in the accident and then proceeded to be amazed that a black bear is what ran in front of me. It tried to get back up but it was terribly injured from the impact, I then took a look at the damage to my car. The Cobalt took a good hit and managed to keep running (the engine I mean) but the front driver side wheel was completely pushed back into the wheel well so I was unable to drive home.

The impact to the bear was so great that I actually have some black bear hair on the fender as well as on the plastic wheel cover. Some nice folks stopped to make sure I was okay as well as take pictures of the bear that truely had many of them as well as the passer bys completely confused as to seeing a bear on the highway. The black bear did not die instantly or five minutes later - it suffered for another 10 to 15 minutes before the officer showed up and decided to put it down.

So, I currently do not have a vehicle and hopefully the insurance folks will see whether or not the car can be saved or I have to start from the beginning, which of course will be interesting because not only do I not have any cash for the deductible if it’s fixable but I don’t any cash set aside to buy another vehicle - so the final scenario is going top be quite interesting. The moral of the story is - black bears can be dangerous in and out of the wilderness.

In case some of you are wondering, the bear was about 250 lbs and it looked a lot like the picture I have posted.

Irresponsibility comes around but for many it creeps up on them and it catches them off guard. Watching the story linked below brought a rush of anger at first but by the end of the video I found myself sad for the family especially the mom. It’s mentioned that she might not of known that the kid was in the back seat hiding. At first I thought that there is no way for that to happen because the family would of been calling her to find out where the kid was but if the family knew the kid was going to be with the mom by either assuming or maybe the kid mentioned that he was going with her I saw that something like this could happen to anybody. My heart goes out to the family and to the mom even more.

It’s nice to know that there are a few folks out there that understand the concept of protection. Joe Horn (a true Texan) was doing his duty when protecting his neighbors home while they were away. Back in November of 07 he spotted two intruders coming outside his neighbors home. He called 911 and proceeded to tell them that he had a gun and that he was going to stop them.

The two intruders began to threaten him and then crossed onto his yard. I guess this episode touched off protests from the civil rights activists who said the shooting was racially motivated and that Mr. Horn took the law into his own hands. You know, it’s moments like this that make me wonder why this group even exists.

The man was protecting someone else’s property and defending himself from what I read were unemployed illegal immigrants from Colombia and one of them was deported to Colombia in 1999 after a 1994 cocaine-related conviction.

So if the group enjoys putting their name and their reputation behind criminals like that then by all means go right ahead but I can assure you that if they keep up this bull crap they’re going to find themselves going up river with out a paddle because the American people are going to get fed up with it sooner or later.

BOSTON - J.D. Drew’s three hits and two RBI Saturday helped the Boston Red Sox trounce Seattle 11-3.

Drew’s started a five-run eighth inning with an RBI single and then hit a solo homer in the sixth.

Designated hitter Manny Ramirez launched a two-run homer in the first while Mike Lowell and Kevin Youkilis added two RBI each. Alex Cora and Coco Crisp both had two hits and one RBI for the Red Sox, who have won four of their last five games.

Winner Tim Wakefield (4-4) gave up two earned runs and five hits in seven innings with two walks and six strikeouts.

Seattle scored on a two-out double by Raul Ibanez in the top of the third and Richie Sexson’s ninth inning RBI single. Ichiro Suzuki had three of the seven hits for the Mariners, who have lost five of six.

Losing pitcher Miguel Batista (3-7) was charged with five runs — four earned — six hits and six walks in 4 1/3 innings.

My heart sank all the way down past my feet when I saw the video link below. When I first heard of the incident I thought my friend was going a bit too far. Well not only did my friend not go too far but I think I’m going to join him and go a little further.

Ten freaking cars go by - that’s at least ten people that saw the man on the ground and instead of calling 911 they instead decided to continue on with their lives as if he was just a piece of carpet that fell off the back of truck. Then of course in this high tech world we live in you would think that those walking by would of called 911 and reported the accident - but no.

None of them called, it took a patrol car responding to another call to notice the man and then dispatched help. I watched the video again and it looks like the first car that drove by him either couldn’t wait for the SUV to drive faster so he/she decides to go around the vehicle but then I saw the second car hit the man and instead of stopping they not only kept on going but they were right behind the first and even turned down the same road.

I’m assuming the cars were stolen and they had to get away quickly or we actually have impatient drivers out there that are willing to do the unthinkable just to get to where their going a few seconds earlier.

Those people really suck and I hope that those folks that decided to stare instead of help keep this day in their mind fresh from now until the day they pass on. Unbelieveable.

Growing up on the east coast I didn’t really see any tornadoes in the immediate area or in the nearby states as well. I grew up in New London, CT and found that the winters there are much worse then what they are here in Toledo, OH. When winter came during my younger years I would pretty much get the usual clothing ready but living in Connecticut you know that the layers of clothing was pretty much the norm.

Now, when spring came around the corner you would start to look out for heavy rain falls, lighting storms as well as thunder storms. We (my family and I) never thought about tornadoes because such a natural disaster wouldn’t never occur where we lived, the only thing that we did consider fearing a lot were hurricanes. Yes, hurricanes at times found their way up the east coast after pounding through other states on its’ way up.

Well now that I live here in Toledo I don’t have to worry about hurricanes any more, the one thing I need to worry about are tornadoes. I believe that tornadoes should be considered to be the most feared entity, simply for the fact that you never know when it’s going to strike. I have heard and seen warnings on tv but nothing has ever come too close to me to be worried. If you have a chance watch the video at the end of this post and watch how a tornado can turn a nice looking office into a complete disaster.

Watching this video doesn’t really trigger my shock meter at all. I’ve seen drivers here do absolutely much worse then what is shown in the video, which is linked at the bottom of this post by the way. Just today I had the privilege to watch some moron trying to run the light but ended up in the middle of the intersection and instead of reversing the car back behind the thick bold white line he decided to stay in the intersection and have drivers honk their horns at him while trying to maneuver around his car. Watch the video and you can easily see that this person was not looking to be stuck behind any railroad crossings. What a moron.

Oh My God!
After watching the video link below I found myself hoping that something like this does not happen here in the USA. Knowing that if you can’t responsibly fit inside a subway car you can always count on paid pushers to make sure you can squeeze every ounce of your body into it. During rush hour in Japan the rail cars are usually packed with enough breathing room - what these guys are doing is not only irresponsible but it’s completely unsafe. Now I don’t know if their government is aware of this but I definitely know that the business owners of the rail system knows. Disturbing but at the same time it’s really funny.

The following is from an article in the CNN/living section online.

Tzatzil Willebeek-LeMair is a superwoman.
She has completed more than 50 triathlons and runs a business that teaches hundreds of women a year how to break into running, biking, and swimming but when it came to her own homes organization she found herself stuck on the starting blocks.

I can relate to her in so many ways - maybe not the coach part but definitely in the messy department. I seem to find myself preoccupied doing things around the house that when it comes to finishing the list presented by my wonderful wife to do first I just never seem to have the time for it.

Don’t get me wrong - I do get around to it eventually but the list does get completed nonetheless. Check out the article and maybe you can think back to your high school gym teacher and remember whether his/her office was clean and organized or messy and hazardous.

This morning on my way to work I saw two possible accidents occur right in front of me. When approaching Byrnedale Junior High School you can spot the flashing yellow lights indicating that schools are open and that students are making their way to learn.

During normal school hours when the streets are busy with cars and buses making their way to the schools these light are on and most drivers notice them and follow accordingly.

This post is to point out that when schools are out for let’s say “Spring Break” then these lights should be kept off before, during and after school. The reason why is because a few folks that don’t have children attending TPS or any other school system don’t really know when the breaks start and end. Well like I was saying - there was almost a rear end accident this morning at the front of the Junior High because the lights were on and the driver approaching the lights slowed down with another car following behind which almost hit him.

The reason why I know that the second driver had a child that attended that school is simple - when they approached the following stop light the woman made sure that the person who slowed down knew that there weren’t any kids in school today or the rest of the week by yelling some colorful words through her passenger window and adding that it’s their spring break.

The other moment was on Heatherdown and Holland Road by the entrance to a school. Same scenario but throw in the red light factor. People trying to make it through before the light turns red and then being blocked by someone that slowed down for an empty school because of the yellow flashing lights.

Now these two didn’t really exchange any words but there was a lot of horn honking. So please if any of you reading this post know who to contact in regards to turning these lights off during “breaks” please pass me the info, I would greatly appreciate it.
