Wouldn’t you know it - my daughter in Arizona got herself a sweet set of prescription sunglasses from her local dealer and of course she probably spent more then she would of wanted to. I saw them first hand and let me tell you that they look really cool. Her dealer only had two types of tint to offer her. luckily she chose one that truly expresses her face. Now I get the opportunity to call her and mention to her that I found a better deal then what she got. I can tell you right now that her reaction won’t be a pleasant one. ZenniOptical is where I found me deal it’s too bad I didn’t know about this sooner because I could of saved my daughter a few bucks. The image you see above are the ones that would look great on me, so if there’s anyone out there reading this and they know when my birthday is this would be an example of what kind of present I would want - I’m just making a suggestion. After going through Netflix’s library of instant movies I finally gave in and watched Bolt. It’s an animated movie by Disney and let me tell you it was actually entertaining. One of my favorite scenes hands down is the New York Pigeons. Watch the click and let me know what you think.

I didn’t know what to expect from this film at first but about two minutes into it I was hooked. This film brings you up close and personal to the after math of wars. In this film these two great actors have a duty and job to visit the homes of fallen soldiers and inform the fallen one’s next of kin that their loved ones have died defending their country. The emotional roller coaster that this film contains is simply breath taking. Go out and rent this film and see what you think. Then come back here and let me know what you think.

Well now that I have accomplished getting my appendix removed I am going to try and locate a great dentist because from the neglect that I have given my teeth I am going to need a really good one to help me out. I have been watching the show Prison Break for the last month or so and let me tell you - this show is an awesome one. I never watched an episode before so when I saw that Netflix had all four seasons I was pretty excited. Right from the beginning it’s non stop action. If you currently have a Netflix account and are able to watch this show I would recommend you watch it online through your computer, especially if you have a good surround sound hooked up. Trust me when I tell you that this show will keep you entertained and it will constantly keep you guessing what the next move will be.

With yesterday being a day in the bathroom from morning to mid afternoon I can happily say that I feel a lot better today. Woke up with a clear mind and a really good focus on today’s tasks. Apologies for the space in between posts but I will focus on things that are going on here locally and abroad.

Today while on my way to work I happen to notice that my car has reached a point/level that few cars are able to do now a days. The image you see to the left is a clear indication of what I’m talking about. Yes, I could of taken a picture of the odometer at any time but with it being in that number sequence I thought it was pretty cool. In case you’re wondering - My car is a 1992 Toyota Camry 4door Sedan. I’m looking forward to adding many many more miles to it.

This week felt like it went by pretty quick but of course with the weekend upon us I can still feel good that it has arrived. I took Wednesday off so that I can spend it with my lovely wife Lisa. Wednesday marked our tenth wedding anniversary so of course the day must be spent with her. We went to McDonalds for breakfast because when I first came to Ohio I came in a Greyhound and the trip was long from Connecticut. She saw that I looked hungry so she offered to buy my breakfast. We figured why not relive that moment one more time. We then headed to the Fox Toledo Station where my wife has a monthly gig doing a segment called Rant and Rave. She is quite popular here in the Glass City. When that was done we proceeded to the Maumee Showcase Cinemas where we watched Clash of the Titans. It wasn’t a true remake of the original movie but it was entertaining nonetheless. She then surprised me by wanting to go to Texas Roadhouse for a fine dinner for two. More to come as the weekend rolls on in.

With the inflation/unemployment/taxation on the horizon, why work so hard? A person breaks his back to be comfortable, and then the fruits of his labor are given to people that don’t work, don’t pay their obligations, and don’t contribute. Here is a story that illustrates this principle.

This man is truly a genius!

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”.
All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A…

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.
